The event, promoted by the Cascia City and organized by Event By Event Ltd in collaboration with the local tourist operators, wants to deepen the knowledge of the summer truffle, one of the main products of Valnerina, with particular attention to the aspects of the collection, storage and its use in the kitchen; the event will also be focused on the rose, a plant strictly related to the truffle, which connotes the appearance of our valleys and our forests, because of its presence in the same environment in which the tuber aestivum grows.
Among other events, on Saturday, August 7, 2010, at 10:00 am at the Sala San Pancrazio the conference "The summer truffle" will be held, by the City of Cascia and the Association, to analyze various aspects and issues related to its cultivation.
In the historic center of town booths will beset up for the sale of the best local products, particularly truffle.
The program will also be enhanced by wine tastings, workshops and concerts.

Pecorino, autochthonous become a genuine phenomenon and in Abruzzo
Marches, has its roots also in Valnerina. The version of "umbra" of Pecorino
from wild vines grown in the mountains at 1200 meters, challenging productions
in combining traditional dishes with summer truffle.
