Description:

Il Cucciolo is a 25 hectare organic farm with four stone houses on top of an Umbrian hill. The space available for rent is divided in two two independent houses and three apartments of different sizes with incredible views of two Medieval Castles. All combined, the space can accomodate a party of up to 20 guests: couples looking for a romantic get away and families of various sizes. Close to the houses is a (36' x 18') swimming pool with a jacuzzi area. Outside of the houses compound there is a fenced in garden, its three terraces connected by stone staircases and resting areas. In the property forest there is a lake and many areas to explore. It is a Paradise for mushroom and truffle hunters. There are white roads and trails to go hiking and adventuring on foot or on complementary mountain bicycles. The agricultural fields are farmed organically with wheat or sunflowers and an organic garden provides different products in different seasons. The owners come from New York and they have been living in the farm for the last three years. English and Italian are spoken fluently. Breakfast, special meals for event or holidays, cooking classes, or special care for people traveling with their dogs (thanks to the dog trainer Breon O'Farrell) are among many services that Il Cucciolo can offer to its guests. The houses and apartments are spacious (one or two bedrooms with bathrooms, kitchen and big ligìving rooms) and finely furnished. The prices are based on a price per person per day of 30,00/40,00 EURO depending on the season. Based on that the minimum price per day is 80,00 Euro and the maximum price is 180,00 Euro. The minimum weekly price is 400,00 EURO and the maximum is 900,00 EURO. If groups or families desire to rent the total space it is possible to get a group discount of 15% on the daily prices or 20% on the weekly prices. In the winter, depending on the weather the fuel cost for eating can be added. Breakfast can be served in a common space called the LIMONAIA for an extra cost of 5,00 EURO per person.

SERVICES INCLUDED IN BASIC RATE: Sheets for the beds, towels for bathrooms and kitchen, all changed weekly. Water, electricity, and gas for the stove. Children's bed and crib when requested. T.V with satellite. Laundry machine. Use of the wood oven.

SERVICES NOT INCLUDED IN THE BASIC RATE: Cleaning during your stay is 10 euros per hour, lunch and dinner will cost 20 EURO per person (10 Euro for children), breakfast is 5 Euro per person (3 Euro for children), children under three eat free, internet use, dog sitting, dog training. PAYMENT OPTIONS: 20% due upon making reservation. The balance due at departure. Payment by means of CREDIT or DEBIT CARDS, cash, wire transfer, Italian checks, travelers checks. No foreign (non Italian) checks accepted.

?Il Cucciolo? is located a mile or so from the small village of Petrelle, under the direct governing of Città Di Castello, which is under the authority of Perugia, the capital city of Umbria. The exact mailing address is 31 San Zeno A Poggio, Petrelle, Citta Di Castello, (PG) Italy 06010.

The closest Airport is the Perugia Sant'Egidio Airport where it is possible to flight direct from the UK with Ryanair. From there you would have to rent a car and drive in the direction of CESENA on the E-45 Highway Perugia-Cesena. Exit at Promano which is just after Umbertide and Montone and follow the signs to Trestina. When you arrive at the turn-about, go left (three quarters of the way around).

When you arrive at Trestina there is a fork. Stay to the right and follow the signs for Morra and Bivio Lugnano (for about ten kilometers or 6 miles ). When you pass a gas station called IP (on your right) turn left in the direction of Lugnano and Petrelle ( you just passed through Bivio Lugnano and you will no longer be going towards Morra). Keep following the road until you pass through Petrelle and arrive at the high walled cemetery of San Zeno . Immediately after the cemetery you will turn left onto a rough looking white top/gravel road. Follow the road for a kilometer (just over half a mile) and you will be at ?Il Cucciolo?.

If you are flying to the Leonardo Da Vinci Airport in Rome (Fiumincino) you can rent a car there and take the A1 autostrada (A highway also called Roma-Firenze) (Rome ? Florence) and exit at Orte. There is a toll booth at the beginning of this highway where you will take a ticket (no money required at this point) that you will need to use when you exit the highway at Orte (3.20 euros).

Next, you will take the E45 highway Perugia-Cesena and exit at Promano which is just after Umbertide. Follow the signs for Trestina and when you arrive at the turn-about, go left (three quarters of the way around).
